Rising above. Think about it. The greatest moments in history involve poor odds, limited resources, desperate times, and snatching victory from almost certain defeat. Movies are made about these moments and when we watch them we feel something inside. Sure, we are pulling for the characters in these stories but we are so invested emotionally because the person we are really pulling for - in reality - is ourselves! We project ourselves into the story. We project our challenges into their challenges. We hope for ourselves the exact thing we are hoping for them. Either they will succumb under the pressure to their negative circumstances and emotions or - through some personal motivation, perspective or hope - they will transcend them. Right now, that's everyone. We hear impressive people right now say depressive things like "it's going to be worse before it gets better" or perhaps we hear from a boss that the company is being forced into lay-offs. What will the future hold? And it is that moment that fear and sadness face off against faith and hope. Who will win? In Part 4 of the Corona Chronicles Pastor Kenny Luck is going to remind all people of faith that you own some wings that will create the exact lift you need to rise above.
