When things are not going well materially in a man's life he tends to believe that things aren't going well spiritually. The thought is: "Maybe God isn't pleased with how I am living my life?" The translation or thinking behind that thought is that God is less present in financial adversity and more present in financial prosperity. WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! We all know poor people who live lives rich in love and God and rich people who live lives bankrupt in the same. So that can't be right and, according to the Bible, isn't!
