Cat Osterman is one of the most decorated softball players ever. She was a standout pitcher at the University of Texas, ending her college career with records in wins, strikeouts, ERA, WHIP and innings pitched. She still owns the NCAA Division I record for perfect games and ranks in the top 10 for wins, strikeouts, shutouts and no-hitters.

Osterman was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Year all four years she played at Texas, and was a two-time ESPY Award winner for the top collegiate female athlete (2005, 2006). She was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.

In 2004, she led USA Softball to an Olympic gold medal, teaming with the likes of Jennie Finch and Jessica Mendoza. In 2008, Osterman helped Team USA to a silver medal. She retired from professional softball in 2015, but un-retired in 2018 to make one more push for a gold medal with Team USA at the Tokyo Games, now expected to be played in 2021.
