Venture Into The Unknown Session 4
18m
The Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in California is home to some of the most majestic and breathtaking vistas on the planet—Yosemite Valley, Sequoia National Park, and Lake Tahoe to name a few. Yet, in the late 19th century, a man named John Muir bravely ventured forth into the high mountain ranges of the Sierra Nevada mountains where no men had gone before. The views may be magnificent, but the environment perilous and the trails butt-kicking. John Muir’s love for the Sierras led him to map out much of the area and because of it, thousands of hikers hike where he hiked every year and enjoy the same beauty he saw. Venturing into the great unknown will be highly taxing, but the rewards will be invaluable.
What God’s man discovers upon that mountain is the understanding that there are others still in the valley. In God’s great adventure, every day is full of unknowns, but your spirit is full of abundance. Its life like never before. It’s life you become compelled to share. Man of God, be warned: in the unknown, you may find yourself going places in the world you never thought you would, giving more than you ever were comfortable with, speaking more boldly than you ever thought one should…all for the sake of the gospel. Matt. 28:19-20 is what people commonly know as the Great Commission and as disciples, we are called to take hold of it, but what you may not know is that the Great Commission is not something we do—its something God does when He takes hold of us.
