This experience is universal - feelings turn into facts and we become vulnerable to lies about everything ...including God. He knew we would feel overwhelmed at times, lonely at others, and, in the process, become afraid that he had abandoned them. He also didn't leave it there. Instead, he preempted their inevitable encounters with isolation and self pity with solid assurance that their feelings were not the facts. What we witness in their lives going forward is that Instead of circumstances diluting his influence and authority, their eyes remained fixed on Jesus in the blessings and challenges. Will the same be true of you?
