Behind the faces we see every day a battle rages within. All the questions life raises relentlessly nip and bite at our resolve, self confidence, and self perception. Do I have what it takes? Did I do the right thing? Does anybody care how hard I am working? Am I cut out for this? When will life not be a struggle? Not another obstacle...seriously? Why is this taking so long to close? Without answers or perspective your hope can be set adrift. More time passes , without resolution, and a man can enter a danger zone emotionally. The fact of the matter is that when a man expects one thing and life delivers another thing he loses hope. And when a man loses his hope he loses his will and determination. Think about it. One day you are on top of the world and in one 24 hour span of time you can be in the pit of despair. What happened you say? Earth happened! Gravity kicked in. The apple of hope fell to the ground. Then another thud and another. Ever been there? Can't catch a break? It's discouraging and the sky certainly feels like it's falling but is it? Oh, how a little perspective and encouragement can deliver needed hope in the emotional battles and storms we find ourselves in. Know anybody needing encouragement around you? Not sure? Jesus said, "In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” Earth is a continuous battle requiring infusions of encouragement to face down its challenges and press forward. Will you be the one God uses to do deliver it to people in your city and community? Demand is high but the supply of encouragement is low. Then there is you.
