Darren thought he had this job down pat. He never suffered from anxiety or PTSD. He made fun of the other firefighters who suffered with the disease. He was asked one day, do you think you can go out on calls that turn out to be the worst day in someone’s life and not stay “normal?” One night Darren wakes up as if a switch has been thrown and his normal life is changed. He is suddenly panicked, scared, fearful, and anxious. He is in a zombie state of being. You need to find a church, reach out to friends, or neighbors and talk to them for support. Recovery happens through time, medicine, and therapy. With his new found faith and talking with others with faith, he has found his way back. You can’t do this by yourself!
