When a man ventures into new territories of exploration and maturation, he is likely to find things that ought be done—beasts that need to be fought, wounded that need to be healed, obstacles that need to be moved—and suddenly, looking for someone else to do it isn’t going to work. God has divinely designed you for a ministry only you can do. Ephesians 4 confronts God’s man with the reality that God entrusted him with a quality of only his own so that the body of Christ might be built up. It’s time to be activated. This is your ministry. Not your pastor’s ministry, not your elder’s ministry—YOURS. It’s unknown and will challenge you, but your brothers and sisters in the faith are counting on you.
