Venture Into The Unknown

Venturing into the Unknown:

Abstract: There is something that is naturally sown into the fabric of all men--the desire for courageous exploration. It takes on many different personalities, but as men, we long to be pioneers. It’s this nature that makes a little boy want to push a button that says “do not push”, play in the area that says “off limits”, or do what other kids say “can’t be done”. However, in our lives we’ve learned to operate within boundaries and boundaries are a good thing. Loving parents create boundaries for a positive home environment. Effective businesses communicate boundaries to align all their employees. The law is a system of boundaries providing safety to the public. These are the spaces that we live in everyday and we’ve grown very comfortable in them. So what happens to that inner, pioneer spirit within a man? Positively, it can lead a man to entrepreneurial ventures, creative expression, athletic endeavors or adventurous treks. Negatively, it can drive a man to adulterous relationships, pornography, video game addictions, harmful substances or immoral business practices. Though, even in all of these—positive or negative--there is still some conscious or unconscious boundaries.
So the question is: Are there any true, boundless, adventures that a man can set his spirit upon? I am here to tell you that there is, but it’s only for the most courageous of men. It’s only for those heroic men that are indomitable in their resolve. It’s only for those men that are willing to blow the hinges off of their self-imposed boundaries and step into the great unknown. You’ll find this adventure in your personal spiritual experience in the Kingdom of God. Are you brave enough to go beyond what you know and allow God to take you to new heights and depths in the great unknown?
