It helps everyone else watching realize that there are thousands of men, just like them, that God is calling to live out their truest identity as a Son of the King.

As we get ready to receive God’s word for today, I want you to think of a time when you were on walk or maybe a hike with someone. Doesn’t matter where the walk is happening – in the city, out in the country, or on the ocean – but the goal is to walk together and experience what ever you see, whatever you sense, or whatever you encounter TOGETHER. Imagine you start out walking together but the other person is getting distracted or focused on something else besides you and starts walking ahead of you. Or maybe instead of walking ahead of you they lag behind. In both cases, do you know what the common denominator is? If you thought to yourself or said the word DISTANCE you would be right. The bible says that God desires to walk with us and while many of us start out walking WITH him, as time passes, as life speeds up, as things we didn’t plan on happening happen… well… we can find ourselves not walking with God but walking alone and by ourselves. In today’s session we are going to learn what walking with God looks likes and means from God’s perspective, why it matters so much, and how NOT to run ahead of him or DROP behind in your connection to him because both places create distance and both places are dangerous for the relationship.
