"For such a time as this." Ever said that? Maybe not. But if you have ever been in a desperate situation and someone with the exact set of skills arrived to help, you can identify with this expression. Your car breaks down and the tow truck driver arrives. It's a relief! In the Bible those words are spoken when a person is in the right place at the right time to bring success or deliverance when no one else would be as well suited to the task. They are like a puzzle piece - uniquely designed and shaped for a moment they never expected but must "suit up and show up" to fulfill God's larger purpose. It is a CRAZY ASK. He is asking them to do something either they did not plan to do or don't want to do for many reasons. God has a habit of doing this with his men - putting them in situations where they are uniquely fitted to supply the answer to a pressing problem. In Part 2 you are going to meet a man just like you named Jepthah who - just like you - who is alive at a certain moment in history, is in a certain location on the planet, is in relationship with a certain set of people, has a certain set of skills, and is being asked by God to step up. This is - as we will learn - what God does with every man of faith. But not every man says yes. Will you?
